Properties of the Median
The median as an average has certain which are enumerated as under:
- Sum of the deviations taken from the median ignoring + and – signs will be the least of all other deviations taken from any other average value. For this, while computing the median deviation of a series, deviations of items are preferably taken for median.
- With the help of the median, the missing frequencies of a class can be found out, if the total number of observations is known.
