Shift in Demand Curve

Demand curve may shift to the right or left when non-price determinants of demand undergo a change. This is called ‘change in demand’. When other factors remaining constant, only price changes and as a result of which demand changes, we call it ‘change in quantity demanded’. Thus change in demand and change in quantity demanded two different concepts. To avoid and misunderstanding, these two concepts need comparative analysis.
