Characteristics of Tabulation

From the above definitions, the essential characteristics of tabulation may be outlined as under:

1. It is systematic arrangement of quantitative data.
2. The data must be related to each other on some logical basis.
3. The data are arranged in some columns and rows.
4. There must be explanatory notes and qualifying words to make clear the meaning of the data.
5. This is done after the data are classified.
